All single color except the black outlines around windows to mimic trim and weather stripping, B-pillar, roof seals, etc last. Its 2 stage paint so yes on clearcoat.

I'm glad we were talking about kicker panels today on MGM thread. I almost forgot to install them and wouldve been upset if I painted first. Rocker panels under the doors are separate piece. They were short about 1/4 inch in the front so did some bondo and feathering to blend them into the front fender. Hard to notice they are missing but they actually stick out past the door just a little on the real truck. Makes a big difference in the lines.

Got some news today that the Custom Tacoma suspension and chassis is almost complete. New designed lower control arms and a slight lift for ground clearance. Hope to have in 3 to 4wks. :D

That is some insane attention to detail, great job!! Will these 3rd gen tacoma builds ever be sold as a kit, ready to go?

Not a Tacoma but this was posted on another thread and I had to show it. This is a Supra 1 piece body by @Suprajim54 . Paint job is just amazing and it looks so real. Beautiful car.

I decided to break out my new airbrush kit. Never used one before and it's just a beginner's kit but painting small parts with rattle can usually blows them off the table. :annoyed:
Had to practice a bit after getting the paint thinned correctly but works great for small parts or areas. Best part is since its water based paint I can use it indoors.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the M-Fab chassis and what does it come with?

Completed the headlights to match real ones on truck. Includes Meso turn signal smoked shields. Instead of gluing them in place I used RTV black just in case I ever have to remove them. Glue syringes work perfect for tiny places. Here are pics of real vs 1/9 scale BHLM with Angry eyes. Will get rid of all the dust before final assembly. Now on to finishing Meso tails. :D

So after mocking up the tail lights awhile back I realized more work needed to be done. The Meso C-light copy alone would allow light through the center.
    20200229_142503.jpg
I first tested with just electrical tape. After that I cut some plastic to fit the contours and glued it in place and painted.
    20200229_142533.jpg
Then on to the lens. They come clear so had to tint red to match OEM.
    20200229_142842.jpg
When removing the tape I dropped the lense and ran over it with the wheel of the chair. Split it down the middle and scratches beyond repair. Will have to order more. Tint turned out really close tho.
    20200229_141501.jpg
Hard to see the C light clearly with the crack and scratches but at least I have a good idea of final outcome.

Haven't thought that far ahead yet. Waiting for new chassis first.
