I recently leveled my 21 Tacoma Off Road. A week or 2 after I noticed a slight vibration or drag around 27-33mph at certain times. I took it to my mechanic and everything looks good on his end. I'm fairly certain i need to replace the needle bearing with the clam shell bushing. How can I be 100% certain? Is there anything else that can cause that problem? Sorry for the newbie question, I just don't want to throw money at the wrong fix.

Drive in straight line on 4 hi. If it goes away, then it's the bushing.

The thing is, it's not all the time and it's not too distinct. I can barely feel it but I know it's there. I'll try and find a spot when I can feel it and try it in 4hi.

What did you do to level your truck? Did you just put spacers on the front shocks?

And did you get an alignment after?

If you feel it in your foot and it goes away in 4x4 its the clamshell bearing.

    Especially with spacer lifts.

I didn't use the spacers, I used Bilstein front shocks and I did have the alignment checked after the leveling kit.

Ok. Like I said the feeling/vibration is very faint but it does seem to go away when in 4 wheel high.
