    Hey gang,
Loving my’21 TRD PRO. I notice a “squish” sound coming from the shocks when bouncing the rear end, accelerating or turning over uneven terrain. I have 18k gentle miles on it. I am thinking it is oil passing through the dampeners and prolly no issue and likely that is what Toyota service will come back with. But I have “bounced” rear ends in other tacos, I don’t hear it. Also had a ‘13 TRD OR - didn’t have this issue. While it may be normal, it is annoying and at $45k+ price point ($650 per shock) I would not expect this. Anyone else hear or see this?

Likely just the sound of the shocks working. Leaking, bad tire wear or ride quality/handling issues are usually a sign of bad shocks. But anything can fail prematurely

That’s what I am thinking too. But not hearing it on other tacos makes me suspicious. And paying $45k, there should be a much better sound system to drown out the noise - that’s for another time!

For what it’s worth, my king shocks don’t make a “squish” sound, but my Dakars make a very loud “creak” sound.
