I plan on getting there Friday morning, setting camp, and hitting trails in the afternoon.
The weather could modify that, but I'll be there.

It’s a 4-6 hour job depending on the number and duration of breaks. Get a Autozone special and rebuild the OEM CV axle later.

I've watched a few videos. I got some gear tech engine bay covers and noticed it this evening. Football starts tomorrow, so after work isnt going to be an option. Consequence of procrastination I suppose.

Bring the autozone special as a trail spare, wheel the leaking one, and rebuild it with SDHQ boots later.

The autozone CVs aren't as good as OEM.

Get a rebuilt one from NAPA, typically an OEM, 20 min swap if you have done it before, wheel nut and the two bolts on the bottom of the knuckle, the hub and spindle will swing out of the way, be patient when reinserting into the hub so you don't damage the seal.

@Fifthwind I like that option. These are the same part number driver and passenger correct?

@Arcticelf trying to avoid getting water in and ruining the OEM. I'd rather put a cheapo in until I can get the parts to rebuild it right.

Yep. Like I said, chances are good that the rebuilt one from NAPA will be an OEM, my first two were.

Not a bad idea. Being the used ones as spares. My luck with AutoZone CVs has not been as good as Murph's.

At least I got the firewood loaded before today's rain arrives. It sure feels like Galveston outside today.
