    Lol, no, it’s not the buyer’s obligation to know that the window sticker is wrong… Imagine if they were like “Lol, jk it’s a 2wd 4 cylinder.”

    Ha, if someone is dumb enough to walk away with a 2wd 4 cylinder and didn't check the truck at all then they deserve it.

    The wording is wrong but your pricing is different by $500, reasonably the price of jbl sound, my wording is below from my sport vspec

    The Maroney label says to visit Toyota.com/Tacoma to see full product details.

    That should be enough to protect Toyota from any and all legal recourse, regardless of what is or is not printed on the label.

    Speaking with a law firm with enough chutzpah to take on Toyota will provide you with a better understanding of 'class action'.

    Now then, if you can prove you paid for something you didnt get, a local junkyard dog lawyer might take you on against the dealership to get their name in the news.

    But you'll need to prove it to them with more evidence than you offered here.

    I guess it’s not surprising that people would inevitably come in to this thread and try to tell the OP it’s his error to believe he would get the things that are listed on his window sticker. I’m sure if Toyota killed his dog and kidnapped his wife, there’d be some asshole on the internet telling him that’s his fault too.

    The difference is that with the exception of eight words the window sticker is exactly what he got, not exactly a big deal. There was no money lost, likely no intentional misdeeds, etc. Simple mistakes happen.

    It is pretty shocking that Toyota wouldn’t want to make this right. It’s their mistake, the customer seems upset, offer to pay for the better rear speakers and a sub from an independent shop. Case closed. But to instead choose to spend their people’s time fighting it and risk bad PR, what a strange choice. It’s their mistake, do something to fix it.

    ill be submitting a case through the dealers commission office through the state tomorrow. the dealer must formally respond to the state on the whole situation. its more of an issue with the dealership. they gave me 2 different answers at first and they all turned out to be lies and ive been on this since November 2021. At first they said they would pay me back then they said they would order me the speaker then they tossed the issue over to corporate.

    It sounds like the wrong sticker, but Toyota should have honored it even if it was just an error. On the other hand you didn’t pay for it, soooooo. If they offer you anything take it with no hesitation. In regards to the Class action lawsuit, pleeeaasseeee. Go for emotional distress for making you think and enticing you for those options.

    I am just curious if they ever asked what it would take to make you satisfied?

    there was a story I’m going to butcher from memory: a wood burning stove malfunctioned and caused some damage. The company assumed they were screwed and stonewalled the affected customer. One of their investigators took the initiative to drive out to the location and see what had happened. After seeing the damage, he asked this elderly midwestern couple what it would take for them be considered whole? Turns out they only wanted the rug damaged by the fire replaced. That’s it. He drove them to a nearby Sears, waited for them to pick out the new rug and paid for it from his own pocket (I’m sure he got reimbursed). So just wondering if they got defensive right away or just asked what it would take to fix it?

    Very interested to see how this turns out for the OP. As many others have observed, there is no model or trim combination on a 2022 that will give you both a manual transmission AND a JBL stereo.

    Here's the good news. It is easier to upgrade the Premium Audio package than it is to upgrade the JBL. You wouldn't have to get much of a settlement from Toyota to afford a stereo upgrade that would be significantly better than even a JBL package. Don't upgrade your rear speakers UNLESS you either put in an aftermarket head unit, OR add a DSP. The factory head units barely send any power to the rear speakers. The factory speakers aren't great...even with the JBL package. There are dozens of threads and YouTube videos of folks upgrading speakers, you don't have to spend a lot to improve what the factory provided.

    Am I missing something? Sticker says premium audio. Same as my non premium OR. It does NOT say JBL. Premium audio does NOT have a sub. Premium JBL audio does. 2 different options.
