22 Tacoma Trail Edition or Ranger Tremor?

Going with a crew cab 5’ bed as only option. Stock 33’s and front and rear locker . No complimentary maintenance which isn’t a problem for some. Looks solid but if it’s marked up like the Rs we’re going to be looking at. 70-80k midsized truck??? Last R I saw local they were asking 120k

... all kidding aside, both are nice trucks but a better comparison would be Tremor vs. TRD Pro.

I'd wager that payload has more to do with how the ranger's rear suspension is configured- rake and progressive/load bearing bump stops from the factory.

Boxed frame may be more rigid, but may just allow similar strength with less metal. Never measured a ranger frame, but chevy colorado frame is 25% thinner under the bed than tacoma.

Bad old picture. My buddy has a Ranger Tremor. It’s a nice truck. Decent off road. I would compare it to the TRD Pro though. They’re a lot more similar in features.


If I were to choose between the Tremor and something I’d get an Off Road and upgrade it myself past the level of what a Tremor or TRD Pro is.

if you’re going to compare the Trail vs a Tremor the tremor has better features like skids, MT tires and a rear locker from the factory. Just hope you get luckily and get a good Ford.

 

Could actually put Raptor lights on the Ranger Raptor without looking like a cunt.
