Got a new phone, requires 45watt charge. The center console usb-c port won't charge it. Not trickle charge, but won't even register it. I saw it's a 3amp port. I think I need a 5amp USB-C port. I know there are work arounds and stuff, but has anyone found a 5amp/45watt usb-c port out there to swap them?

Buy a $20 charging block from BestBuy ... use it to top off the cell phone and recharge the block at night. The block is small/light to travel with you as needed.

Also a NOCO GB40 battery boost block allows charging (need a USB-C to USB-A adapter which is cheap). GB40 supposedly jumps a battery 6 times per charge so should charge your phone in the day.

    OR ...

Buy a 12V plug that has a 5 A port ... easy install into the stronger power source.

    OR ...

Become an electrician and wire a new/stronger port into your truck.

I have a battery pack from Amazon that works well USB-C to iThe phone can get 8-10 full charges quickly and still charge 3 drone batteries before recharging it.

Wow, that’s crazy. I have the opposite problem. When I plug in my phone, it overheats and stops charging.
