I bet this question has been asked a hundred times, but I can't find a thing searching. So a link would be nice.

    1996 3.4 4x4
It has 225/75r15 currently I am looking to put on some used 31x10.5 R15 or 265/75r15 if they turn up.

Is it necessary to change my diff. gears, if not will it be a noticeable decrease in power.
***The code on the sticker is B06A-which means its 3:91 gears?

*For those of you who have made the switch, can I see some pics? I would like to see how it will look sitting higher. 15 inch wheels.

you have an SR5, they came with 31 tires stock, I have a Tacoma LX (whatever that means) and mine had the other factory tire size (225/75r15).

To find your diff. gear size, look at the door sticker and at the bottom there is a number starting with A or B then #01-06 then another letter. Mine is B06A, tell me yours and I will find the size of your diff. gear.

I know the tires would fit, I just wanna know if that gearing is good enough for the 31's

You only have to regear when you get to 35's your V6 has more than enough power to push 33's with no issue.

Thanks dude! I figured as much since its not a major jump in size, but it's always good to make sure.

Anyone got pics of a Tacoma sitting on 31 1050 r15? With fender flares is a plus.

    How it sits with 225/75r15.

I just think it would look better with 31's, and would like the fact it would sit higher and have more ground clearance.
