Soooo tired I've processed 230 deer so far with only my brother! The 18 hr. days are getting to me (have done 32 in 3 days), I feel like i,m getting to old to do this. I have a few upgrades to my tacoma that are sitting there waiting to br performed. But all in all the extra money is sweet! More to spend with the help of TW

I feel like I have a good butcher. I have been going to him for a few years and he treats me good. I get crap from older guys because they say all butchers steal meat. What do you have to say about this? Or does it seem like the customer receives less because the butcher tries to do it as quick as possible and doesn't get all the meat off?

Thats a lot of deer though. Any big boys?

Jeez that's a lot of deer. Some of my friends will pay me to do theirs but I will only take so many and I do it right there because I don't have a big freezer to store it with. But some of them are too squeamish to butcher it themselves but can kill it?

I cant speak for anyone else but both me and my bro. hunt so taking meat is not necessary. I have heard that alot do tho. what hunters need to understand is that there is around a 35% return on what is brought in after skinning and processing. Also we only process one at a time when one goes into the freezer then we start on another.

I have been a butcher for 28 yrs. and my brother has been one for 32 yrs. so it is mindless meatcutting lol. We have a 30 min. turn around from cutting table to freezer and some nights 20 min.

We get them both ways whole and quartered. Of course skinning is an extra charge. All of our business is by word of mouth I have never advertised!

I was always taught that shooting an animal was just one of the many steps you must take when hunting. Processing is just another step. It sure is a lot of work. I started processing my own after I saw the waste in my former butchers dumpster. I also have one of the original Butt-outs (the short one), it works great

You wouldnt imagine how many so called "hunters" do not even know how to field dress a deer. I think it should be taught during thier hunter safety course!
