I've never rubbed once in 5 years and 55,000 KM that I've had my 235/85r16 duratracs, with OE mudflaps and fully stock suspension other than rear airbags. It's been flexed to the max a few times.

Put 'em on the registry! It would be hilarious to see 4 tires wrapped up on the gifts table.

I've got the same truck, but access cab. It's slowly becoming less plain! Draining the 'ole wallet though...

Got a delivery today, Boyee!! These tires are awesome! I'll try to mount and install by the weekend. I even found an old Michelin at work for a spare!

Y'all think that Michelin looks good enough for a spare? It's not quite worn down to the wear bars in the tread and there's no apparent cracking in the side wall. I guess it depends on if the tire shop will mount it. Sometimes they won't touch used tires.

    Dumb question here:

Any problems running this narrow tire on the TRD bronze beadlocks with stock suspension?

Thinking of picking up a set and downsizing from 17" to 16" while upgrading the tire from my craptastic Dunlops.

I believe a 7" rim is ideal for this size tire. Tirerack.com states that the "rim width range" is 6"-7.5". I'm not sure if all Toyota rims are 7" but I know my stock steelies are.

It appears the beadlocks are 16x7.5.

I wonder, anyone running this combo?

got 'em mounted and balanced today! My old ass bathroom scale says the tire rim combo is about 60 pounds. I'm hopeful that it's really close to the Dunlops on steel rims, I didn't want to gain huge weight.

60 lb. combo isn't bad. Seems like the Cooper maxx tires weigh in at 51 lbs. each.

I thought they were around 45. I've seen the General grabbers are pretty heavy at 51 or 52.

Got more numbers. Stock steel wheels and Dunlops weigh in around 61 lbs. Mine were somewhat worn but good for another year prob. A brand new tire may be a pound or two heavier.

My stock steel spare rim and the old Michelin I found weigh in around 67 lbs. This tire is well worn, almost to the wear bars.

I rechecked my new combo with the scale on a concrete surface instead of my carpet for a more accurate reading. They came in about 59 lbs! Win!

    Tires will be on tomorrow!
