First tank of gas with new coopers.....18.34mpg, after 4% adjustment.
First time in 28,000 miles of getting under 20. It was about what would be expected. Still worth it? You bet....

Just finished installing! Looks awesome! Painting the calipers was a pain but so worth it. I've got plenty of clearance for mudflaps. What kind of pressures are you guys running? I'm gonna test out around 36 psi.

Thanks dude! Those wheels are made by Rays Engineering in Japan. The same guys who make the famous Volk series sports car wheels. They were originally an option on early Nissan Frontiers. Forged aluminum, 16 x 7, +39mm offset. I had to run 1" Bora spacers. Also I had to have the center bore machined out to Toyota's 106mm because Nissan was like 101mm or so. They're supposed to be very light and strong, I was lucky to find em on ebay, they're getting rare. They weigh about 15 lbs a piece.

I haven't noticed a significant change in drivability. I can still cruise at 35mph in fourth gear without lugging the motor. I noticed is a bit harder to start from a very slow roll in second gear. I report back with mileage after a tank. I usually get around 18.5mpg of pure city driving.

No vibration from spacers. I went up to 60mph so far. Truck seems more plush on bumps, but I also added a leaf to the rear. I will say that if i turn hard and fast enough to hear the tires squeal it feels also more spongy and unstable than it did with the Dunlops. But it's not a sports car, so as long as I don't drive like an asshat I expect to love these tires. No perceivable road noise either. No hum or drone. Still gotta play with pressure, maybe do chalk test.

So i haven't done the chalk test yet but i noticed at 36 psi after driving around for about an hour the center of the the tread is noticeably much warmer than the shoulders. Maybe I'll try goin down to 32 all around and start from there with chalk.

I've gotten pretty even wear out of mine running them 30 rear, 32 front on a V6 DC, unless loaded or towing, then I've had the rears up higher.

So I still haven't done a chalk test but the heat on the tread feels much more even at 32 psi on all four corners.

Also regarding mileage, knock on wood, but it seems to be better. I usually get 90-100 miles from top off to the 3/4 mark on the fuel gauge. All city. This time I got around 115. I had 23 miles on the trip meter with the Dunlops before I swapped to the 235s.

Sometime after this I also disconnected my battery and lost my trip meter reading so I'll have to top off again before I get some real numbers.

I stuck mine on today for a trip to Southern Utah in a few weeks. At 30 PSI the Cooper ST Maxx's feel like P-rated tires on pavement and just glide over washboarded dirt roads. Can't wait to try them aired down!

Nice, dude! I'm also goin to southern Utah shortly. Round Sept 12 or so. My sis cousin and I are gonna do some exploration around Canyonlands, San Rafael Swell, and other places. Plannin lots of dirt road and some camping. I'm gonna try to start a thread for it when we get there, should be awesome! Maybe we'll see each other out there!

Is a sis cousin a sister and a cousin at the same time? I will be at Boulder Mountain and Capitol Reef over labor day weekend, so unfortunately a week ahead and 150-ish miles to the west of Canyonlands. You will have a blast. Weather is forecasted to be perfect. Take lots of photos.

2 separate people. 3 total including me. We've been taking road trips together since like 2007! We've been all over, from redwood forests and death valley to fundy bay and the Jersey shore and many places in between. We make a good group for traveling and this is the first time we're taking my truck and doing some 4x4 trails. It will be awesome! We're going to hit capitol reef also. I hope you have a great time as well. You got the right tires!

Mileage update finally! I just started a roadtrip to Utah from Pittsburgh, PA. The first tank I got about 17.2 mpg. We sat in traffic a lot for that tank.

The second tank went a bit better at 18.4 mpg. This is all highway on 93 octane.

Also I made no corrections for tire size. Anyone know exactly how to do the correction?

Just curious why your running 93???

    I appreciate the update,

When I worked for Honda/Acura we went to a class put on by Mobil-1 basically saying if your car wasn't designed for 87,
don't run it. And BMW requires high test or else! :infantry:
I've never tried 91 or 93 in my truck. Does it seem better?

awesome man I got a cap just like that, idk if mine sticks up a little bit higher then yours. I have stock tires are just averaged ABOUT 17.8 MPG. idk maybe to give you a reference. Im thinking about getting some type of roof rack fairing and rigging it up.

and x2 about the premium fuel. the engine isn't programed to need that much octane, its not doing any good in there
