It was worth it. Then got some T4R wheels and couldn't be happier.

Looks great. I have the Cooper A/T3's at a local installer ready to go on as soon as my rims come in.

(my first two attempts were painful, but with a bit of luck I should be rolling on them by this weekend...)

The first rim came in today, so I had the dealer pull a wheel and check fit - I'm good to go! Three more come in on Thursday. Paint Friday, mount them Saturday...very happy!

Taking my truck back to "stockish" and am really considering running this size. Pretty good selection between brands.

Finally got my wheels and tires mounted...

I'll snap a few more later, but the first 5-miles on them felt fine...

For my humble 5-lug, i upgraded tires (and regeared appropriately) to the 235/85R16's using my existing 16x7" aftermarket rims in September 2017. Absolutely love this tire size.

Man, this tire size just looks great on our trucks. Here's some of mine from today. Currently rocking Firestone Winterforce LT's since my Prerunner needs all the help it can get . Truth be told though these tires have made this truck so much more capable than I thought it would be. There's something about the narrower footprint that just makes it feel like it's stapled to the road even in slippery stuff. I honestly can't think of any downsides to this size; it maybe feels slightly less peppy than the 31x10.5X15s but certainly not bogged down. I'm running them at 35 all around and considering I have Bilstein 5100s at every corner, the ride is indeed firm but I don't feel they're particularly harsh. They've also worn like iron, a nice side effect of E-rated tires on a light truck. Two seasons in, mine have around 10k and are still at 14/32".

I'm currently weighing options for my summer set, now that I'm committed to this size. As much as I love the military look of M/Ts in this size, I'll most likely also go with the Cooper A/T3s.
