Question for you. Not sure of the variables involved. Ive got an ac unit thats maybe 4 years old. I have a bedroom thats always hotter than the rest of the room. What could be the issue?

We'll start by assuming the unit is functioning properly.

    Some possibilities include........

Improper duct design (very common. Many AC shops don't actually engineer for proper air flow) or a damaged duct that's leaking into the attic.

Less insulation in that area (both walls and ceiling) particularly if the room was an addition.

Direct heating from a different solar orientation than the rest of the house.

Ill fitting windows, doors, or more sq footage of glass in that room.

If the room was built the same time as the rest of the house, duct design is the most likely reason.

@chris4x4 and @cmack are family, but more like the red headed stepchild. One owns a Heep, the others a Ferd.

How much to come and and check to see what possibly can be going wrong with a AC unit?

Sent a text over to Brian tonight and he responded within the hour. Dude is seriously a life saver! He took time out of his evening to drive from N. Phx to the Tuke and fixed the A/C in the house. It was a simple fix but can't thank him enough for coming out as quickly as he did without even thinking twice. Definitely a contact that I'm going to use again in the future!

    Thanks Brian!!
