I hope you learn to like it. The Pro honestly has way more capabilities than you need, but it’s an incredible machine. I barely tap into the capabilities of my SR, but if price wasn’t an issue, and I could buy any vehicle available, the Pro would be on my list.

Do yourself a favor. Spend a day getting it dirty on some logging trails or utility access roads, and drive it places no car would make it through unharmed. Stick it in 4L and engage the lockers for obstacles you could probably clear in 2WD. Get a feel for what it does without stressing yourself or your vehicle.

Eventually, get a few scratches and take pride in putting them there. My Tacoma has grown on me to the point that I really don’t like driving other vehicles as much, even though there are some pretty cool ones I’ve been able to drive lately. I’m not a fan-boy. I’d trade it in a heartbeat if I found something else I wanted more, but for now it’s right up there with the most memorable cars or trucks I’ve owned.

Never thought about the cold weather effecting the shocks but that makes sense. Living in Indy, it’s been cold and only getting colder in the next week (single digits).

Yes, the shock settings are now at 1 for the softest suspension, tires are at OEM recommended PSI of 30 and I also turned off the air ride suspension seat function which helped further reduce vibration and bouncy ride.

I’ve driven a 2013 Chevy crew cab Z71 periodically for 4 years which rode way more smoothly, but it was only a few times a year and the last time I drove it was over 3 years ago. I think I expected a similar ride but their designs are not exactly apples to apples.

Years ago- wife bought a Suburban loaded with every option available inc leather. She bought it for the passenger volume for her job (3rd row). She drove it around the block & that was that- sold. While driving it home, she called the dealer & told them it rode rough. Well yea, it's a 8 lug truck chassis! She grew to love it. She traded in her Acura in for the Burb LOL.

Empty trucks also ride rougher than one loaded. Go to a big box store & buy 6-8 bags of sand. Center the load over rear axle & drive it. I'm betting you will get a better ride. You can return the undamaged bags of sand for a refund.
I carried bags of sand in my 2009 TRD Prerunner for that reason- plus it helped in snow with 2wd.

OP stated in their initial post "I had to drive to another state to pick this up so I didn’t test drive before signing the paperwork." This doesn't answer your question if they test drove it first?

I flew across the county for mine, and test drove it before signing.

Hi! I have a TRD Offroad, not the Pro, but I am experiencing the same thing! I thought I was crazy but it’s daily and I notice it on flat even surfaces below highway speeds. Bumpy, vibrations, overall body of the vehicle doesn’t feel planted.

Today I went to grab 200lbs worth of sand to put in the bed of the truck since I often drive on icy/snowy roads to ski resorts. Well that so far has helped quite a lot. I’m wondering if the rear coils or shocks are oversprung? Which is hard to believe since weight easily squats the rear. Idk but I’m getting new suspension installed in a few months and I’m happy to leave behind this bumpy ride. I have KO3s set at 30psi. I’d definitely visit an alignment only shop to have them nail it to rule that out.

My 24 TRD OR premium ride is very smooth and very quiet, can hardly hear the engine when driving maybe the KO3 tires ride rougher than the stock ones

This is why trucks have seat belts, so we don't bounce out of them.
