Will probably stay with stock size for transmission gearing reasons but need winter snow and ice performance as well as mild dirt roading tread.

The stock Firestones can’t cut it. What’s everyone using on their SRs?

The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S has a three snowflake rating. I use them on my wife’s Grand Cherokee as she doesn’t need a dedicated snow tire and they’ve treated us well.

I went on a winter wheeling trip with a guy on 245 dynapros and they did great. I was really impressed.

Glad to see someone else recommend these. I have a set I just put on my '21 and I like them so far. Leaps beyond the factory Goodyear's. They're a good all around budget A/T.

However, something to note. The sipes in the tread do not go all the way down, but only maybe 1/2 way. So at 1/2 life traction in inclement weather will suffer.

I will have to check the tires on the Heep. The last time I looked we were at maybe 8/32 of tread with 30,000 on them, so I’ll have to see where they’re at now. I should be better about this.

I'm lucky to get that mileage out of tires. I drive kind of aggressive and while I don't do it as much anymore since I moved, I drive spiritedly over the mountain several times a month. That eats tires fast!

I am getting boring in my old age as I’ve aged out every set of tires I’ve had since I graduated college.

Best a/t tire in snow were the general at2 grabbers i ran on my tundra...they had the snowflake symbol. Right now i'm running the a/t goodyear adventure tires which are decent, but their now 1/2 worn.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 4s is the best all-around tire I’ve found. They perform excellent in our Michigan winters, ride quiet and wear well.

Michigan winters are a crucible for winter tires. If anything can survive there it’s good.

Agree with General A/T. I live in Alberta Canada and we've had snow on the ground up to 12" and turned to ice and cold weather since mid October. The general's have worked very well and have not had to shift out of 4hi.
