Comparing to my 2023 tacoma trd off road, manual transmission.

2024 tacoma trd off road, manual transmission:

Better in every way. The clutch, the power, the way it drives, incredible. Technology updates such as dash info/display options and the 14 inch screen, incredible. Seats and interior, incredible. Safety updates, better mpg, and I like how the transmission shifts better than my 2023, it feels smoother somehow.

Overall happy my 2023 was totalled and I got paid to drive it for 13k miles.

With Gen4, once you make the plunge, you don’t look back. That’s encouraging, because they look good too.

Now that there’s also cash on the hoods, a lot of current Gen3 owners are just anxiously waiting for Toyota to screw them together tight before they buy one. Hence, looking forward to hearing about your long-term experience.

    The o
I get what you are saying, but I'm not in a honeymoon phase with what I listed. The power, clutch, ride, comfort, etc aren't going to change compared to my 2023.

Now, it's not perfect. I have window rattle if rolled down an inch or two. And I dont know the longevity, which is a huge concern because I keep my vehicles a long time, if they don't get totalled by idiots. Ideally I keep this 16.5 years like my tundra. I'm older now, no more kids travel games, family outings, etc, etc, only anticipate 150k-175k in like 15 years. I'm also watching the boost gauge, and the way I drive with the manual transmission is not seeming to tax the engine with boost very much at all. Hopeful it's like every other toyota I've owned.
