    Thanks for the info.

so apparently this tire size doesn’t exist here in lebanon where I live.

Know if a tire that’s the same size as the 255 height but not as thick as the 285? Thanks.

I think a lift will help some. I’m still searching for what lift I want. Kind of leaning towards the Dobinson IMS lift which won’t break the bank like the Fox 2.5 lift I want. lol. I trimmed some of the lower part of the fender flare that was rubbing and did some work with a heat gun. It now only scrubs in reverse while turning hard.

Love the setup. Are the Method 703's 17x8.5 +0mm? Looks like its aligned perfectly with the fender flare. Also if they are 8.5's, impressed that the 255's still look meaty on them.

Brand new wheels and tires on the 2018 Off Road. 255/80r17 Toyo Open Country ATIII on Nomad 503 Sahara in Satin Black - 17x8.5 with 0 offset. I have a 3" lift and level kit on the truck that the previous owner installed. Everything fits with plenty of space and I totally love this new setup. I came from 285/75r16 General Grabbers with 1.5" spacers and I can already feel better highway performance and the stance is exactly how I hoped it would come out. Had it done at America's Tire (Discount Tire for those of us in California) and they were awesome.

Tried to get Toyo Open Country AT3s in 255/80r17 installed on my 2016 TRD Sport rims today and my friends couldn't get the bead to seat no matter how many times they tried. The Toyos looked and felt beefy but we gave up and I will be going with 265/70 Toyos instead. Granted, my friends are street racers and normally don't do trucks but we were dumbfounded because the gap between the lips of the Toyos before mounting was only about 4 inches wide and the TRD sport rims looked wider than 7.5"... My installer said that he wouldn't recommend stretching them to make them fit either. They called their friends and all that they could recommend was to put the tires out in the sun to warm them up and try again, but after seeing with with my own eyes how far the lips the tires would have to move (and hear the multiple times that they tried to blast them out) and feel how stiff those sidewalls were we gave up, put my old tire back on, and will try next week Saturday (the garage is only in use on weekends).

I wanted to join the Pizza Cutter party, but unfortunately I can't see that happening...

255/80/17 up from 255/75/17. A little rubbing and a MPG hit, but they seam to be working out.

Just bumping this thread. I must take more pics of my truck, as this is all I have...

My 33" 255's look kinda small here, but I get all kind of comments when people "try" to get into my truck. They can't believe how high it is, and hard it is to climb in. The running bars really help them climb in.

Go to a 4wd shop where they have experience with e-load off-road tires. It took my local non-4wd shop 4 hours to mount and balance mine. Welcome to the performance parts world.

Going to the tire shop this weekend. I’m sure I could look through numerous threads, but I’m curious what the opinion on SL vs E load. I would love some 255/80/17 tires, but is it a better ride on 255/75/17 with a SL tire?
