    Depends on how you plan to use them. If you offroad frequently in areas with sharp rocks, sticks, etc it's better to have the sidewall protection of an E-load tire. If you're just mall crawling, then this less weight of an SL load will be easier on the wallet and MPGs

    No problems on pavement for me. Got about 70,000 miles with e-load pizza cutters. The extra weight of the E-load tires did slightly affect stopping distance.

    Finally got the lift and tires put on. 3” Ironman lift and falken wildpeak 255-80-17 tires. Thought I would have more room for mud flaps up front. Will have to sort something out. Rides great, though.

    Anyone running 235/85 R16s? I switched from 255/85 R16 Cooper ST MAXXs because of the mpg hit and am now running BFG AT K02s in the 235 size. Thought they might be a little Squirrley on wet pavement because of the thinner profile, but they feel no different than the 255s. And my MPG took a big jump!

    With 3” lift I’m too close to the back of the wheel well and rubbing the cab mount. Considering these wheels to offset. Is +5 too much? I don’t want the wheels way out. Anyone familiar w these wheels? Tires are 255/80/17

    Do you have OEM UCAs? I think you might want to consider UCAs over wheels to help with alignment adjustments.

    Yes I have the spc light racing. The issue is the wheel is too far back and as I understand it’s the lower control arm that can move it forward- is that possible with only ucas? Alignment numbers are good

    I agree,I am looking at the exact combo or a 255/80/17 with a fj steelie that i currently have and are 7.5 wide.
    I love the analog wheels but there 17 is 8.5 wide and I think thats to wide on these tires.
    The 16 inch analog is 7.5.
    Just not sure if I want 16s.
    You ever get the lift on?

    I’m looking into this for my daily driver/camping rig.
    The 255/75/17 is quite a bit lighter.Also running a 2 inch lift to keep things easy and I like more room in the wheel well so the 255/75/17 is checking the boxes for me.

    Finally pulled the trigger on a set of 255/80R17 Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws. I'm currently on stock suspension in these photos, but a 2in lift is next step. Despite what I read, I had rubbing with these +4 offset SEMA wheels on the front bumper outside edge where the fender well attaches. So, I just dremeled that tab off and relocated that corner clip to the next hole forward and that gave plenty of clearance at the front now. Mudflaps had to come off and I trimmed the one protrusion of plastic that sticks out closest to the cab mount. Easy fixes though.

    I've had them on for about 200 miles and, since it is a common question, MPGs took a hit in city driving for sure (down about 2-3 mpg) but on the highway it is far far less noticeable (maybe 1-2). Power seems totally fine it's just the repeated spinning up of stop and go that seems to make the most difference to MPGs. I could care less about that small of a change in fuel economy (it's a truck) and was more concerned that the E-load tires would feel too stiff. I've been really happy with the ride quality so far. They feel great and actually ride more supple than the stock Kevlar-reinforced tires it came with. I'm currently running 35 psi but think I can go lower. Need to redo the chalk test. Anyway, they look great and I'm really happy I pulled the trigger after following this forum for so long; It convinced me Pizza Cutters were the way to go!
