Still haven’t found a definitive answer if 255/80/17s will fit a stock suspension stock sport rim. When the answer arrives I’ll be at the tire shop right away fitting the pizza slicers and heading to the mall.

I think I read that RC84 is running them on stock, and Clearwater Bill said it works also. Might want to PM them.

Do you know the offset of the stock sport wheels?

The +30mm offset of the stock 16x7 3rd gen OR wheels is the key factor that clears the 255/85/16 tires on a stock suspension 3rd gen.

I'm surprised there's no power loss. What were you coming from?

I have those wheels and they are 31lbs. That makes for a 90 lb package with the coopers

Gawd your truck looks good with the color matched FJ steel wheels!! Because of that I have now been activity seeking 17" FJ wheels that I will powder coat (still trying to decide which color and am looking for input here ) and put on my ’15 MGM. I am trying to decided between 255/80 KM2’s or 255/75 STT Pro’s to go on these wheels.

Have you have any rubbing issues with your 255/80 KM2’s? I have a 2.25” lift with JBA UCAs (3.2* castor) and CBI bumper so I hoping this size will not rub.

Scanned the whole thread but didn't see anyone clarify if they had any rubbing issues with this combo.

SEMA TRD pro 17" wheels with toyo 255/80r17 on stock 3rd gen OR. No mudflaps. It seems like the 16" oem OR guys don't have any issues but the SEMA pro wheels stick out about an inch further. Any insight would be great.

You, me and others have inquired about the same set up in this thread and several others. I never saw anyone confirm if they tried it, but plenty of speculation and post lift results.

I settled on a different tire size and wheel setup entirely, but would still be curious to hear feedback on that setup.

    This...
I ended up with Trail wheels instead of the Sema T4R wheels. I am running 255/75/17 KO2's and probably could have ran a 255/80/17 without an issue. That said, I am not stock. I am running the pro suspension and a AAL. The only reason I didn't end up running the 255/80 was due to the weight of the tires. I believe most of them are E rated and are around 50+ pounds. The C Rated KO2's are 46 pounds.
