You're a good man. Let us know how it goes. I'm always looking for impressions on it - since it's such a rare tire. Gearing, power, clearance, etc...

    Good luck.

There are infinitely more choices in 265. Do you offroad a lot? The ST Maxx is a pretty beefy tire. The weight of it is noticeable on-road, and if you drive a lot of miles a day, I wouldn't recommend it. Offroad it's amazing though.

I don't know, when it comes to tires it's more about usage than looks - and you didn't tell us what you'll be doing with it. imo.

Stupid question....but the LCA doesn't have nearly the surface area I need to put a jack under it safely. How else might I simulate stuffing the wheel up in there? I'm open to options.

See this is more of what I was expecting, no CMC with a lift. I just bought these tires and pick em up today. I still want my mud flaps :cookiemonster:

Did have to remove the little mud flap extension on the front side of the front wheel. Mine is really close to rubbing at full lock and flex, it might depend on wheel width and offset.

Did you do a CMC? Any rubbing? I have the same wheels and have been considering jumping up from my 265s

The best way to simulate full stuff is to pull out the coil over, put the wheel back on, and set the truck on the ground. Turn the steering wheel to see where it rubs. Cut all of that off, then put the coil over back in. Voila! No more rubbing!!!

Only rubs if my wheels are barely turned and i have to turn into a steep driveway. If my wheels are all the way turned, and I go up the same driveway, no rubbing.

I think it's rubbing on the fender as my cab mount does not have any wear markings.

Should i get an alignment when jumping from a 265/70 to a 255/80?

Does the height difference in the tire make that much of a difference?

    It's DLX son!
Unless it was recently checked/done I would always get an alignment with a new set of tires just because I wouldn't want to spend a chunk of money and then cause un-even wear right off the bat.

That being said - changing the tires and nothing else will not change your alignment.

It's been less than a year since the last alignment. Current tires are wearing perfectly so i think I'll just monitor the nubs on the new ones for a few hundred miles
