The tire wheel combo I really want is 255/80/17. Do you guys know if that will rub with a wheel with 4.5 backspacing? Basically I want something bigger than 265/75 but smaller than the 33" The tire calculator shows it as 32.06". I don't mind going up to the 17 as both the wheel and tire I want are only $10 more a piece.

    32 ? You sure you don't mean 255/75/17 ?

Oops sorry, typo on my part. I do mean the 255/75. After re looking at discount tire the price is actually $15 cheaper for the tire each, than the 265/75/16, which will cover the extra $10 for each 17"wheel

Low and slow.. chopped up on 35s
I've been running 255/85r16 km2s on my 2.7 for the last 2 years with stock 4.10 gears.. If you tow anything even a small trailer empty you'll be doing a lot of shifting. I used to regularly shift to 4th on any highway hill..
I have since geared to 4.88 and now I'm searching for a 6th gear on highways.. So im jumping to 315s. Loved the 255s though.. They are great as far as wheeling. Never scrubbed a fender, but did rub the frame and LCAs on a full turn.

Cooper customer service is full of it, they didn't produce the 255 STT Pro.

There is a bunch of new videos and reviews on it. It may be too much tire for malls and the majority of people. Its a very aggressive tire.
I have decided to just wait on tires for awhile and am starting fabrication of some skids Saturday instead.
