sounds about the same price per tire then. I'll have to deal w/ WA sales tax, plus mount/balance, but overall I think I'm pretty OK with the price. I was initially impressed with the online pricing, even with the shipping costs factored in the price was pretty good. However after calling a few local shops about mounting and balancing I realized that would quickly eat up and possibly exceed the cost of buying locally. After reading some of the stories from others when dealing with problems, I figured having a local shop was the best bet even if it ends up costing a few bucks more in the long run.

regardless the next few days will involve a lot of changes - I just dropped the truck off for the suspension, have an alignment appointment Friday, then new tires late Friday or Saturday. Hopefully time for a break-in bit of off roading Sunday to see how the new stuff works out.

What's everyone's opinion on the km2 in snow and on wet roads?

The KM2 is good in snow and wetness and even ice but that's only before the 50% tread mark is passed. After that they suck on ice but still great in the snow

If you are going to be in heavy wet snow I would avoid them as the tread holds it vs cleaning out easily. For the snow we get in Western Washington I am not happy at all. As far as wet roads they do just fine.

As high as 18, and as low as 15. 35psi. I don't try to get good mpg tho, and I've added about 250lbs of skids, and sliders.

I'd figure I'd share my mpg on my Coopers. Driving from Roseburg-Eugene-Bend-Portland-Roseburg average speed of 60, I got an average of 20.35mpg. That is without calculating for variation from stock tire size.

I don't have any personal experience, but if you're not happy with how they act in certain wet/snow conditions siping them would help.

No problems with wet roads. Very loose with a light coating of snow or hard pack, no real siping. They are great in deep snow. I did not expect them to be a good snow tire, but they are better than I thought they would be. They work well snow wheeling.

i can't believe ppl are still even considering the km2 as a decent tire for winter conditions, i've never spoken in person to anybody that has them and is happy with them as a daily driver where we have winters. the dick cepeks have some siping, the st maxx have some siping, the toyo's have some siping, the bfg has zero siping!

Thats exactly why I'm considering the KO2 in 34x10.5x17 rather than the KM2 in 255/80/17
