Hmm. That's weird. My 16x8 method NV's have 4.5 and it rubs on the front flap a little. I really hate to lose them though. These tires pick up gravel like crazy and I'd like to protect the body (and people behind me) as much as possible.

Could be alignment? I have lr UCAS with 3 degrees caster -.1 camber and -.1 toe. My wheels seem to sit about as dead center in the wheel well as you can get them. Surprisingly the guy at big O did a really good alignment.

Yeah. That could be it. I got a lifetime of bad alignments courtesy of Firestone, haha. I guess I'll have them give it another go.

Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone. Got TC UCAs, caster set within factory spec...and now I rub at full lock. Now I gotta decide, trim the fender flares, raise up the front end, or go back to the alignment shop and see if they'll put back some caster for me...

What is the lift size needed to run Cooper ST Maxx in 255/85/16 tires on a 2016 Tacoma?

That's what I'm thinking. I may raise the front end up a bit later on, but because of how the rings are positioned, I'd have to pull the coilovers out to get to the locking screw. I prefer the ~2* of caster to the 3*+ in terms of handling and turning. And I think I only need to trim the very inner corner of the flare.

Except it's still lacking. They don't make one... but a 35" tall tire with the same width-height ratio would be nice.

The 9.00R16 and 255/100R-16 are close. But the Michelin military takeoffs are getting really hard to find and I have read that the Chinese Yellowsea tires aren't very good. Tread patterns aren't ideal plus they are hard as rocks. Don't think a Toyota could elongate them at all even aired down to five pounds.

Anyone know of a tire in this size (255 85 16) that is not so aggressive? I want to mount KM2s for all of the fun days but for around town I would love to keep my truck at the same ride height and look over all but would like to not destroy my KM2s driving around town. Something like the Big O AT or something. Any ideas?
