I don't have any measurements, but the Cooper looked taller and wider than my km2s. The coopers were on an fjz80, and my km2s on my tacoma are on 16x8 wheels. I believe the landcruiser had 16x7

I've heard very mixed messages about the KM2 in the snow. Everything from they are awesome to they are terrible.

I'm sure they are horrendous on ice.

I dont have first hand experience, but I'd like to know more. I'm planning to put them on this year and I live in WI. Good snow traction would be a major plus.

They were ok when they were new. The grooves on the shoulder blocks are now gone, and now they are horrible in the snow. Can't get any traction while braking, can't stop for anything.

They did really well winter wheeling in deeper snow.

I can't imagine their any worse than procomp mt's I ran those exclusively for years and hadn't had any problems with them. Only reason I'm switching brands is because I want pizza cutters :headbang:

Look at the shoulder blocks. The grooves on those blocks are not as deep as the ones on the center of the tire. Once the shoulder groove is gone, they were awful. I am going to re-groove the shoulder blocks to see if it makes a difference. I'll keep you posted.

Mud terrains are rough in the snow period. I just run on 4hi and go slow...

How fast can you run these trucks in 4 high? Is there a recommendation from Toyota?

What gear ratio did you change to? I'd like to go to this size eventually but I tow a camper that is 3,000 plus and I'm sure I would have to regear. Would you have any reservations about towing with this size tire?

I switch to 265/75-16s when i need to tow. I don't tow with the 255/85s with 3.73 gearing. Not sure how they would effect a 3rd gen, but I don't think you or the truck would like towing that much weight with 255/85. Your gearing is 3.92 correct?

Yes 3.90 with auto. I figured it wouldn't do well with stock gears towing. I tow about once a week in the summer so I don't know if I want to swap that often but I guess I may have to.

I guess I'll just have to try and see whenever I get the funds for 255s.
