What tire pressure is everyone running on the 255s? I'm running 36/34 ride seems a little rought but I get good wear and gas mileage.

After almost 2 years with my BFGs, I’m settled in at 32 on the road and 12 on the rocks.

Hey guys, I’m new to the skinny tire world. I’m looking at getting new tires soon and I love the looks and performance of these tires I’ve read about. One question though. I will be doing a good bit of highway driving and I’ve read mixed reviews about their performance on the road. Anyone running these tires do a lot of highway driving and could speak from experience on this?

Hwy performance is going to be affected more by the type of tire than the size. AT's generally act better on pavement than MT's. However, there aren't many AT options in this size. The cooper STmaxx seems to be the favorite in that category.

That being said, I have no complaints about the hwy performance of my tires that is correlated to the size. Sure, they're loud and wobble a bit, but that's because they're half-worn mud terrains.

Thanks rngr. I’m looking at the Toyo RT, so they shouldn’t be as bad as a more aggressive mud tire. I had nitto trail grapplers on my old truck so if I can handle those I think the RT’s won’t be bad!

Balanced great, no pulling/wandering at all. I am running them at 36 rear, 34 front, and went down to 20psi in the snow today. I know I could have gone a lot lower. So far, I am extremely happy with them, and the OME suspension that was installed a couple weeks back.

All that makes my decision harder....those 255/85 KM2s look so good but my other option, ST Maxx, are also great looking, quieter and better in snow. I really like those KM2s and they’re only $70 more (total) then the ST Maxx. Plus the KM2s look great on steel wheels which is now what I’ll be running (17x7.5 FJ steel wheels powder coated Massey Ferguson gray).

Contacted BFG. Doesn't look like there will be a 255/85 KM3. Hopefully that changes.

That's odd. It seems like every time someone talks about an uncommon size that there are very few options, BFG is almost always one of those options.
