I love Discount Tire. They'll match most prices you can find, and their service is awesome. They give a 30 day guarantee, so if you don't like the tire you put on, bring 'em back no questions asked. To me, that was worth a few extra bucks itself. Plus, the hazard insurance is well worth it also if you wheel it.

Im having a hard deciding between km2 and cooper st. Seems like the st will handle snow better, but the tread looks a lot skinnier than km2's. I wish duratracs came in this size.

Can anyone give me a snow report on this size wheel? I'm in a toss up on this size or 285/75/16's. I plan on wheeling in snow during the winter and I don't have the money to run a winter set of tires as well as a summer set.

So it looks like driving styles and choosing the right lines comes into play a lot. That snow didn't look too deep however. The snow i would be in would probably be a few feet deep.

    It often does.
Snow was 6" to 9" max with mud under it in a lot of places.

I believe if you are looking at several feet of snow that the skinny tires will not be good for you. They work in about one foot or less because they will cut through the snow and get to the ground. If you have snow deep enough you'll bottom out.

So, with the massive amount of rubbing I've had on 255's which has made me trim like no tomorrow and sit here waiting for a cab mount chop, as well as the grotesquely horrendous alignment issues I have, I thought it might all be due to keeping front rake in the truck when the suspension was first installed. I asked the guys here at the garage to raise the front and add an extra 1/4" on the driver's side (thanks for the info OZ). I still wanted rake but would've been fine with a level truck. Anyway, they only raised the driver's side a fair amount (gonna try to post pics). You think that's all I'm going to need or should the entire frot end be raised?

PS I'm on my phone and unsure if I can post pics, but my passenger/driver's side photos are now in LIVE.

and that's when you just push it :D

    (not kidding)

I asked you a slew of ?'s on live. I didn't even trim my fenders let alone my cab mount. I have a feeling your caster is fubar and your wheel offset is bad. My 255's tuck like no other. I did ZERO trimming with your same set up of shocks and UCA's. PM me with any ?'s.

    ^^My reply from Live:

I guess the question becomes, where along the line did it all go wrong? What would cause my caster and offset to be bad? Installation? Alignment? This is the best my alignment guy said they could do......

unless your LCA's are fubar you can get 0* toe and 0* toe - just need better alignment shop. any shop giving you 3.7* caster is CRAZY! your caster is way to high and that's why your eating cab mounts.

    [IMG][IMG]

bring it out to 2.8-3.0* and you should be fine.
