How do studs even go in tires? I just see small holes. Do they screw in?

    I'm running 255/85/16 BFG KM2s on 1st Gen TRDs (4.5" BS).
The decrease in BS from stock pushes them out .75" more.

I dont wheel alot but i think that the coopers will work just fine when i feel the itch to hit the ditch or take off into the bush haha, and yeah price it always the factor.

On a 7" wheel with the proper lift or bump stops. I'm running OME 885s & Dakars on my 4Banger AC with stock bump stops. My tires don't stuff far enough to touch the fenders.
That sounds like the Discount Tire Direct price.
Tire Rack wanted $195 for them. When I told the local Discount Tire they offered them for $190.

Interesting on the prices. When I was buying DuraTracs last month local Discount Tire could not come within $90 of Tire Crawler for four (including shipping), PLUS Discount has to add $74 in taxes. So I just ordered them from TireCrawler and got them in 4 days, saved $164. And neither price quote included mount and balance so I was comparing apples to apples.

I like the 255/85 idea but settled for 265/75R16's because I know they will clear without cutting up my truck and a bit less weight. I will get 255/85 one day....

    Stocks work good 1st Gen 16"x7" 4.5" BS & 2nd Gen 16"x7" 5.25" BS
8" might be too wide to work without new bump stops.
Also check out page 35 about putting 255s on 8" wheels.

 Wow where did you get that price from? I had to order a replacement 255/80/17 km2 for one that got sliced and best price I could get was DTD $229 shipped. That was about a week or so ago. Maybe mine was more cause it was only a single tire and not a set? :notsure:
