The tire moves through the same arc and has the same compression and droop limits. How does that not make sense? Where it sits at rest is irrelevant.

The solution for front wheel well rub on rear tires at full compression is an axle relocate plate. Use the .75" side of the plate. The only other solution is longer bump length. Its happening because of forward axle movement under negative arch.

Is anyone running wheel spacers with this tire on a stock OR wheel? I just had mine installed last week and I think I would like them better if they stuck out a little more.

Mine are 3/4" farther out than stock due to 1st Gen TRD wheel BS.

Yeah, that is what I am learning. I rub in the rear fender well toward the front of the vehicle at full compression when going up a steep hill. A little more trimming and I think it will be solved, the tires have trimmed some for me already!

I rub in the front of the wheel well, meaning towards the front of the vehicle, not the back/ bumper side of the well. I only rub on very, very steep rutted hills where the wheel is totally stuffed.

Go Steep uphill, I mean really steep and get back to us. It could just be a 2012 fender well design issue as I do not hear about many with an older truck having this problem, but on a really aggressive hill, mine rubs!

Gotcha, I don't have any fender well on the front side so can't tell you if I would rub or not.

2009 4wd Reg cab, 255/85/r16 Cooper Discoverer S/T, no lift, no trimming, non-factory mud flaps - no rub as of yet.

I use this truck for work around my property and as a daily driver, but I have been trying to make them rub since I got them earlier this week - no luck... so far.

They are just some rubber universal units that I drilled to use the factory fasteners. I picked them up from O'Reilly's back in the day. I'm sure they can be ordered online for a little less or made from some thick smooth rubber. Mine have little mountains embossed on them though. :p

4wheeling4banger, the rear of your truck is barely flexed in your pics, put that thing in a ditch til you get one wheel off the ground and the other one stuffed. the toyo's are also wider and taller, not by much but by a little.

to the reg cab with coopers and no lift, looks good, i promise it will rub if you stuff the tires!

oz-t, i looked closely into the toyo m55, all the reports i've read stated terrible winter perfomance due to the hard rubber, especially on lighter trucks, along with a nasty ride, ppl are getting great mileage out of them though.

I got mine for maximum clearance. I do however only run about 1" lift up front so I have the more down travel than someone lifted 3".

Ex. I have similar clearance to a 3" lifted truck on 285's with an additional 2" down travel.

What is the back set of your wheels?

Unless they move the axle they will not solve the problem and as far as I know Dakars are the only leafs moving the axle.

Adding some pre load to the front or rear of your truck (lift) does not change it's geometry. Compress them and they will be right back to rubbing.

Get properly backset wheels in the first place and avoid any/all of those issues.

No way in hell are my tires even close to rubbing any portion of the rear fender in any situation.

(mud flap missing due to encounter with tree :D not rubbing)

    other side stuffed

same situation with short inverted wheelers bump stops (wheelers bump towers removed for max stuff)

My tires ride inside the fenders.

same situation with inches of front clearance

Defeats the purpose unless you like ripping fenders off and rubbing. See 2 pics up. My fenders would be gone if I had my tires sticking out more.

Been there just don't have a pic of it.
One wheel compleately stuffed into wheel well (even with 4.5" BS) and one in the air. I was on two wheels & had to put something under rear wheel to get moving.

Still 1.5" off bump stop in this pic with 3150 lbs in bed. Hard to see the clearence but it's there.

damn that is a lot of weight in the bed at 3150lbs!!! image you still had stock leafs  so with your extra 3/4 inch offset outwards still not getting any rub is great!
