^Mine was off 3mph with those tires. With the 265/75/16's I have now, it's dead on.

Exactly what I have been saying. SO your old tires spun faster making your Mileage go up faster! and your warranty go out faster and your GAS MILEAGE LOOK BETTER.

The trucks and a lot of cars these days are close to dead on as they have ever been, if they want them to be. TECHnology has done this over the past years.

Like Toy Tacoma's case here, they used one setting/gear what ever for the most popular tire(saved money i bet) for there setting. Mine was showing several miles better per gallon before.

Just like a watch. hell you can get any $10 jap watch these days and it is dead on, not like 20something years ago...or more.. lol

ANYWAY. Happy days and INVEST IN BQI stock....It will double in a year! OIL STOCK and they have 6 billion in ground P10#. Good luck

there is no way to get 26.2 mpg at 55mph unless you are drafting. I've been watching my MPG very closely, and the best I can get is going 65 behind a camper and I can get 23-24 mpg.

    I agree...

I swear though, its hard for me to get less than 21 mpg if I drive smart.

Thought I would update my mileage: At 2200 miles, the worst mileage has been 25.3 and the best of 27.05 MPG. My last three tanks have all been 26 or better. It is possible to average these figures.

On a recent hwy trip (403 miles) I got 26.15 MPG, this was under some less than ideal conditions. Strong Cross/Head wind, non-aerodynamic load of 150 lbs, and having to drive at least 70 indicated to keep from being a traffic hazard. This Taco continues to make me quite happy, Was hoping for 25 MPG when I bought the truck, and anything extra is gravy.:D Although very expensive gravy.

I think you need to use a GPS as 25 plus is all but unheard of .

    I disagree!
I know Roland gets around that with his 2.7 and I have done 26mpg once or twice with mine when I've driven very carefully. I have a gps and a tuned scan gage, plus I always check it with a calulator at fillup.

LL7: Yes, my truck is a 4-cyl with 5-speed manual transmission.

Imrubicon: My odometer does read 101.5 miles for 100 miles of interstate mile markers. 1.5% equals about .35-.40 MPG error. I have acheived these MPG's by coasting up to red lights, rarely shifting above 2500 RPM, coasting in N down long downhill grades, and by limiting my speed to 65 to 70 MPH indicated,(which I think is highly optomistic) on the urban interstates. Have yet to run through a roadside radar to check for sure. These numbers make me happy. Why all the doubting Thomas' ?

26 + with a 4cyl and 4x4 is normally up there with people that say they get 100K out of a set of tires.
Not impossible but not very common either.
If you are sure of what you are gettting for numbers I wont argue but I dont think it is the norm,
I drive a new one with only 350 miles and its not broke in yet.
My first tank was only 17.5 and I hope to get it to 20/22 after breakin.
I think I am being hopeful.

Mine is not a 4WD, just a lowly 2wd SR5 Access Cab, 5-Lugger, What is your configuration?

And I have got 80K out of a set of Michelin's, probably would have gone 100k but were starting to get sidewall cracks.(Dry rot)

I take back my previous claim. After my alignment, I could definitely see that 26.2 MPG with the V-6 is possible. We're talking no wind, flat road, cruise control, 55 mph, and NO AC. I doubt I'll be doing 55 much, because the speed limit is 65, but I slowed down today and my dashhawk (which has been pretty accurate so far) was fluctuating between 25 to 27 MPG.

My mods include an intake and MAF calibrator.
