    It can be done...

Only for 15.5 miles but still I was happy to see that.
Temps outside about 105. A/C blasting.
Interstate traffic was heavy so I never tipped 60MPH was hovering around 57-59.
Of those 15.5 miles at least 5 was around-town-traffic b.s. getting from the house to
    the on/off ramps.

Trip home traffic was moving at 65-70 and I was doing every bit of it -
Turned off and saw 22.3MPG... which ain't bad... I'll take it.

Then I bent over and paid daum near $90 to fill it up.... ouch ....

As long as we are bragging...
This was a little road trip Monday, secondary roads up to 60 mph or so.

Having done 15 mile jaunts, work and back 30 miles, to the store and back 15 miles, and watching my trip mpg, I ha e overthought this to the point I have way more questions than answers.

Previous poster was in traffic flying. Is there some kind of less resistant air diving 80 on the.turnpike or potentially drafting effect in play.
My drive to work, although uphill, I generally.get better mileage. Cool VT air?
Does the computer make timing adjustments that under certain conditions.create superior gas mileage? If so, do certain driving behaviors lead to the computer making more fuel-efficient operation ?
Weight definitely a factor and I think wind is often less of a consideration than it should.be.

My mileage generally runs at 25.7 pretty consistently.

I don't drive a heck of a lot so when I fill up it's a shock - and today at daum near $90 I was shocked, so these
gas mileage reports are nice to see.

Drive it 1500 miles and get back with us. For short distances I've seen 4 mpg, and 40 mpg. My truck still averages about 18 overall, 19-20 on long road trips. Which isn't bad for a 15 year old truck with 225,000 miles and slightly oversized tires.

I just got back from a 3400 mile round trip from AZ to the Blade Show in Atlanta and averaged 25 mpg. The best I saw was 30 mpg and the worst was 22.5. Stock truck with the highway tires and I even put the airdam back on because I needed all the help I could get...$600+ in gas.
