Ran Toyos 265-65-17 on 3rd gen rims on my 2010 Taco Sport, truck was leveled with upgraded Billstein struts…..mostly highway driving……no noise, good handling, good MPG, rotated and balanced every 5k

my new 21 Taco Sport has 265-70-17 Corsas from previous owner………

did 4 wheel alignment, tires have about 5k on it ……….also did a BG fuel injector, Throttle body cleaning service

just did 4 hour drive Dallas/Houston, and hated the ride……very spongy……didn’t handle bumps well, fuel MPG was ok, not great

pros and cons of running larger size……..seriously thinking of going back to factory size with Toyos

is it the size, or the tire brand…….

still mostly highway driving, 4X2 so not going to get muddy…..going super big is not happening, can’t stand the noise.

30, but that’s really a suggestion, because Toyota sticker in door is for stock size 265-65-17, which is 29 psi.

Going up one size won't make that big of a difference or cause a dramatic change in ride quality. Ride quality can differ between brands. Never heard of Corsa tires. Maybe it's just the low-quality tire you have on the truck that is giving you the poor ride.

I would try higher tire pressure too. I've found 34ish to be the sweet spot on my 2nd and 3rd gen.

Your issue is more likely to be the tire brand and model more than the size. I have had tires on that size that were soft as bubblegum and others that were much harder and stable.

That said, I downsized from 265/70 to 265/65 and I'm happy with it. I think the smaller tires look great and handle great.
