Apologies as some form of this question has likely been asked before but 2 hours of googling and searching the forum hasn't yielded me any luck.

I currently have KO2 265/65R17 load E tires on my truck. I'm planning on getting Willdpeak AT4Ws in 255/80R17 also load E.

It might be a stupid question or one that doesn't have a real cut and paste answer but how much can I expect my ride quality to change? Both are 10ply LT tires. I've never had issues with the KO2s but I know that Falken really beefed up the AT4W vs the AT3W by adding almost 10 more pounds of weight. I don't think that I really need a 10 ply tire but Falken doesn't make a C rated 255 tire with a 17" rim.

Again apologies if it's a question thats been asked before or if there is no real answer. I'm just hoping to get a little more input before I invest in the tires.

Find another size that’s not LT rated?
