So I am looking at the Falken AT3s next spring, in 255/70/R17 on the stock wheels myself. I considered the 265s, but want something just a touch skinnier. This is my DD, and I do light offroading only for the time being, I dont beat on the truck. Mostly logging roads/dirt roads, that kind of stuff. The 255s I think will be better in the winter conditions, and I just have a thing for the skinnier tires :). Everything else is stock, and a lift kit is in the future in a couple years. Not anytime soon!

    No worries.
I went from stock 265/70/16 to 265/75/16 on Stitch ('19 DCSB TRD OR).
Next couple weeks I'll change out to 235/85/16 for Winter so I'll have clearance for chains getting out to my friend's cabin.

Yes it will all be worth it, and will give you an extra 1/2" of ground clearance. No damage whatsoever, other than obvious a little more mpg loss, as expected.

It's really what Toyota should have put on the Taco, except they had to meet mpg numbers.

    You will love it!

Anyone go to 265/70 17s on a 4Runner Pro wheel with the +4mm offset and a stock suspension? Wonder if I would have to get rid of the front OEM mud flaps.....

I have, and you can leave the OEM flaps on no problem.

For me my right tire just kissed the right flap every once in a while on turns. It wasn’t a big deal but it did get annoying to me, but I already wanted to get rid of the tires so for me it was just more motivation. In normal turns they don’t rub. It was usually tight turn going fast or hitting a bump. Or braking while turned. Same time and I had LT E KO2s.

The 265 70s also make the stock sport wheels look SOO much better! Thanks for sharing!

    Check build thread!
Lots of us run 255/85/16 for a taller tire and no rub. No issues.
