Just ordered from tirebuyer.com today. 265/70/17 115T 678.04 shipped to an installer after 10% off coupon. Should have them at the shop in 1-3 days it said.

Looks like the new 265/70/17 - 115T weigh in around 44 lbs. From Nittos website.

Yeah figured that was a weight gain that was acceptable for me. Didn’t want to add 12-15 lbs per tire like some of the heavier rated tires

    Before and after.
Here’s my attempt at an initial review:

Looks: Freaking awesome. I think (and I may be biased) that this is the best looking wheel/tire combo available for the white Tacomas. With the additional offset and slightly larger tires it just gives the truck a much better stance.

Feel on the road: Only have about 10-12 mixed miles, but both city and highway feel was great, better than stock for sure. Not sure if it is the larger tire or softer tire material, but didn’t seem like bumps were as bad on highway. Felt amazing driving, no pull either direction.

Noise: Only time I noticed any more tire noise than stock was while turning sharply, and that could just be due to the new rubber. Highway noise no different from stock, couldn’t hear any tire hum over the road/wind noise of driving.

Rubbing: None that I have seen or felt yet, did go through a dirt exit from rear of a gas station that allows for pretty good flex of suspension. Tried to turn to full lock while driving through. Didn’t feel anything rubbing. I also have removed mud flaps some time ago so it may rub if I still had those on the front, I don’t know.

MPGs: Too short of trial period at this time, but didn’t seem to be off much if at all. Will update later when I have more data

Power/braking: From what I could tell, did not feel any different from stock for power from take off. No change at highway speed for passing either. Braking maybe just a slight difference on getting truck to slow down, also will need more data from driving more miles.

Wet traction/off road: No data for either at this time. Didn’t have any wet roads today and I don’t really off road much, just light dirt trails occasionally.

Overall: Very impressed so far, don’t have any negatives so far. In my opinion, these are the best tires for getting a nice aggressive look without getting that MT hum while driving.

Discount tire says 54lbs. Wonder which one has the typo.

I sent them a pm and got this response so looks like Nitto’s numbers are probably correct

“I'm showing the same numbers that you are on my end as well. Unfortunately we do not have inventory available for the 115T version that we can actually weigh so I reached out to Nitto and they stated the weight at 43.65 lbs. I took a peak at some other tire weights in the standard load construction and they are all around the 40 lbs. mark so I'd venture to say that the weight Nitto has supplied is correct.“

I know when I looked on nitto's website when they first released the tires, it said 54 pounds, but then a few days later it was adjusted to the 43.65 lbs. I think discount got their data from the initial info from nitto and didn't update when nitto did.

OP keep in mind you really don't want to run those in the winter.

I want to run them year round as the last time San Antonio got snow of any decent amount was in the 80s....

I'm assuming you are talking about not wanting to run them in snow....although not sure why they have an aggressive tread pattern and the angled tread would be decent traction on slippery roads....
