After searching many threads and forums I could not find much information on figment of a 265/70/17 on an 8.5" wide wheel. Hopefully these pictures will help people know what this fitment/setup looks like.

Wheels are method nv 17x8.5" 4.75" bs 0 offset

Tires are Goodyear Wrangler authority 265/70/17 C Load

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
265/70/17's recommended rim size is 7 to 8.5...

Yeah...I'm posting this so people can see what the tire and wheel width combination looks like. And there are many 265s that fit on 9" wheels

I did a lot of searching and couldn't find too much info as well. Hoped this would help others out with their wheel and tire selections.:D:thumbsup:

Awesome. Thanks for posting. Always wondered how an 8.5 would look.

Thanks for that info. I was hoping that the rim wouldn't have too much "poke" with a 265 like the ricer car kids do. I knew they would fit just not how they would look going with that rim width

Awesome, I am currently looking at wheels with those exact specs and was having trouble visualizing. Do you have a lift or level? Mine is completely stock, did you have any rubbing/trimming?

No lift yet with 17X8.5 0 offset Methods & 265/70 Wilpeaks. They sit nice & flush plus I think they ride better than the factory wheel/tire combo. No rub or trimming but I did have a guy I know do an alignment since the factory alignment had way too much camber to it. I've gotten lots of compliments on this setup!

Wow, awesome set up! That is the exact look I am trying to go for. That being said,

The wheels I am looking at are 17x8.5 and come in a 0 offset or +18. I am trying to use the Rim and Tire Calculator and have a question regarding scrub radius.

Using the 0 Offset: I am unfamiliar with Scrub Radius, will the 1 1/32" Positive Scrub be too much? Is that what will need to be adjusted using an alignment?

Using the +18 Offset: The Scrub Radius appears to change very slightly, not nearly as drastic as the 0 offset.

Any insight as to which I should be focusing on? 2.5" sticking out vs 1.75", hoping to be flush or very close to it. It appears the backspacing on the 0 Offset is 4.75 +18 offset is 5.46. Thanks in advance, all these moving parts are messing with me.

I know this is an old post, but do you have a side view of this set up with no lift? I want these wheels and I currently have no lift. Just wondering if I can pull off the rims first before I get a lift.

That looks perfect. Thanks man! I was going to wait to save up for a lift but that looks great without one. If there is no rubbing then I can pull the trigger now.

Thanks they are the 0 offset since I didn't want them hanging out & slinging mud & shit all over the sides of the truck.

Another good choice is the bronze ones that would look great on black or quicksand!

This just sealed the deal for me sticking with 265’s, was wanting to make the jump to 285’s but this looks great. I’m going on 17x8 +5 offset knock off semas, should be pretty close to your setups. Thanks guys both nice trucks !
