I'm surprised 265/70r17 isn't a more popular tire size for Tacomas. I think it's a great compromise that gives you an improved look, slightly better off-road capability, and minimal hit to fuel economy. There's definitely a bandwagon effect going on with 285/70/17 on Tacomas. Everyone and their mama is getting that size, but I think they ruin the way the truck performs.

Come on guys, keep those pics coming!

Don't see many 2.7 Tacomas on here or maybe I'm not paying attention. I'm curious how does the 2.7 handle the added weight you're carrying?

From the bumper and winch? Not even noticeable. The bumper is Demelo's aluminum plate bumper, only weighs about 55lbs. Winch is about 74lbs. Minus the factory crash bar, brackets and end caps I maybe added 50lbs to the front.

With the e-load tires, bumper, winch, lift, etc. I get 16mpg around town, about 18.5 highway.

4cyl is fine. Most people that complain aboit it dont understamd how to drive a 4cyl, especially one that is as bulletproof as it gets. You have to wind it out, let those rpms rip. If you dont its a total snail. You aremt gping to hurt that motor.

Offroad, shes done everything ive ever asked of her. 3 wheels, 2 wheels, clay hills, etc. Just give it the beans and go.

If you are buying a truck to be fast, youre doing it wrong.

I have a modified Subaru STi if I want to get somewhere in a hurry.

I read through this entire forum and then decided to pull the trigger on a 2” level with 265/70r17 Wildpeaks. Thanks everyone for the insight and photos! I’d like to think my truck came out perfect :dancingbacon:

2.5" ADS and probably about 1.5" up all around. Still need to adjust ride height after some miles on the new suspension.

I'l help out. My 2020 with Bilstein 6112's @ 6/5 notch for 2" in front, 1.5" AAL in the rear, 265 70 Wildpeaks. Perfect stance, no rubbing anywhere. On perfectly level ground, I have maybe .5" rake front to back.
