265/70/17 with 17x9 ?

Looking to see what some 265/70/17s on a 16x 9 rim look like and will it fit.

 

Good luck finding those tires mounted on a 16x9 rim.

Makes an LT E tire look like a oem p metric. Absolutely awful.

 

Im not a fan of 265 tires on 9 inch rims, to much of stretch factor. Use 7 or 8 instead. With that said, the only 265 all terrain you could get away with on a 9” is the at3w because of the beefy sidewall design.

 

Imo I’d mount it on an 8” wide rim.

My summer wheels at 17 x 8.5 and I have 265 70s on them

 

For offroad applications and sidewall protection, go with an 8" wide wheel.
