265/70/17 with 17x9 ?

    Im not a fan of 265 tires on 9 inch rims, to much of stretch factor. Use 7 or 8 instead. With that said, the only 265 all terrain you could get away with on a 9” is the at3w because of the beefy sidewall design.

    for those that answered this question - how do u get a 17 inch tire to fit well on a 16 inch wheel?

    For offroad applications and sidewall protection, go with an 8" wide wheel.
