Hey guys, I know I’ll probably get a lot of hate from this post but it’s okay. I’m a rookie and don’t know much about wheels and tire specs. I just purchased SSW Off Road Dakar wheels in 17x9 -25 offset. I originally planned to use them on 285’s but it will rub too much. I’m wondering if I’ll rub with 265/70R17 tires with a 2” front and 1” lift on my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road. Thank you. Anything helps!

I have 17x9 -12 wheels, 265/70 tires and a lift with spc UCAs. I rubbed like crazy with the out.of box settings on the UCA. A good alignment (the first place was not good) solved almost all the rubbing. A heat gun and Dremel fixed the rest of the rubbing.

Your lift might help with most of the rubbing but anytime you compress it (speed changes, bumps) with a turn involved you may hear some rubbing. Lift won't solve rubbing because where does the wheel go when you compress the spring?

The -25 on that wheel means you are cutting. The -25 moves the wheel further out on the radius when your wheel turns which causes rubbing. There are some good videos on YouTube on this topic. And I'm sure someone has the links and will post soon. Otherwise, the wheel/tire subforum is right over ^^there^^

Edit: the front is the only concern.
