my 265/75/r16 rubbed pretty bad even after I took the flaps off, I dremeled like 2 inches off the inside of the back of the front fenders and it seems to be fine now. They still rub going up the driveway at an angle, but I'm putting in new shocks this weekend so it's not a big deal. I can send a pic tomorrow of my fender cuts. Super easy took like 15 minutes

Had the alignment done at last and it did not help with the rubbing. Do you think something like a rough country 2 inch leveling kit would do the trick? Would like to level it out either way and would save me from trimming.

I believe you are rubbing because of slightly larger tire size combined with t4r wheels that stick out a bit further than stock. If the alignment didn’t solve it, I suppose the next logical thing to do is raise the front end a little (assuming you don’t want to trim)

This is when you dive down the rabbit hole. There is no “right way” to level the front end. Different price points for different products with different pros/cons.

Step 1. Determine how much lift you need in the front to level the truck. Measure from the center of the hub to the top of the fender on all 4 wheels. If your rears are 24” and your fronts are 22”, you would want about 2” of lift.

Step 2. How much money do you wanna spend? What will the truck be used for?
How you answer those question determines what type of lift you go with. Here are SOME of your simple options

-Spacer lift that goes above your strut
-New coil springs that are stiffer to replace the stock springs in your strut
-An adjustable shock (called a Bilstein 5100) that lets you set the platform that your coil spring sits on at a different height
-A combination of a new shock and spring
-A fancy coilover assembly that is similar to a new strut altogether and lets you adjust the amount of lift to any height

*lifting the front any more than 2” calls for a new upper control arm so that you can maintain factory alignment specs

*you can lift the front a little higher than “level” and also lift the rear

*lifting the rear is totally different than the front

    Happy Friday!
The best solution is trim some plastic.

Even if you raise the front a bit, you’ll likely end up rubbing sometime or another. And @CBenfell sure is correct about going down the rabbit hole! Its a nice rabbit hole though.

    Same crap everyone else got
I have the same size tires with fn fx pro wheels. 17x8 0 offset and 4.5 inch BS I think. I put them on when I was stock height and only rubbed on the rear part of the fender and mud flap. has plenty of space in the front part near the bumper. I'm lifted a little now and don't have any rubbing issues at all. Life: 5100's @ 0 with 885 coils and aal in rear.

Same wheels and tire size. Alignment fixed my issues after 2 tries.
The tech moved the wheels forward enough to avoid rubbing on the behind the front wheels.
And this is on a saggy SR5 stock suspension.
