I bought BFG KO's (not KO2's) to replace the stock (Dunlops) when I purchased the truck in 2013. Never drove on the Dunlops. I love the KO's. I have factory TRD Sport set up...nothing fancy. I bought them specifically because mesquite thorns are thought to see until it's too late.

They're heavy...mpg is 16/17. Comments said they would be loud...they're not. Comments said they'd ride stiff...they're fine. I have 30K miles on them and they still have lots of tread left...will definitely get 5OK I think. I could have gone less expensive, I guess. But I'm not sure a less expensive tire would wear as well. Bottom line is I like them. I'd buy them again.

If KO's are different than KO2's, then disregard my post. Maybe I should have said that first?

I think they're pretty much the same tire.

My E rated KOs lasted almost 100k miles. Daily use, off-roading and towing.

You removed the air dam right? Does it rub with it on?

I had the E load on my 2nd gen. Stock 16" wheels with stock suspension. Ride quality wasn't an issue at all. Mpg might have dropped a hair, but not major. Truck did feel a lot heavier though. I'd say I'm 50/50 whether or not is do E load again.

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
I use purchased the E-load BFG-ko2's for my 1 month old tacoma last week in (265/75/16). Cant tell an ounce of difference on the ride. They seem very quiet and they ride very nice. They look great as well. Go put them on, you'll be happy.

IMG_1204.jpg Just saying I'm getting these heard nothing but good reviews on them other than people driving a full sized truck with a lot of torque and imo they look more aggressive and they are cheaper just my 2cents. I was also thinking about k02s till I talked to a few people with these and definitely what I'm getting in a few months there's also a thread by a guy with these from the day he got them till they were bald look it up and see for your self he seemed vary happy

Those BFG KO2 tires are 50 pounds each ! , stock is like 32. Toyo makes a real nice tire and it comes in around 40 pounds. SL weigh rating.

I have BFG KO's on my '14 TRD Sport. I think they're overkill, but I like them. I get 16 mpg city, maybe 18 hwy. I think I'd do better with lighter KO2's. I estimate they cost me 1 or 2 mpg's. I never drove it with the lighter tires. So I'm not sure. I love them. But I think I'll try the C load KO2's next. Or maybe those Wranglers? They look great. Are those the Kevlar kind that come on the new TRD Pro?

I have lost 1-1.5 mpg with the c-load,my speedometer is off 1-2 mph with the added 1in in diameter, overall ride is fine though, slightly rougher but have to really pay attention to feel the difference

I'm sure it depends on what stock wheel and tire combo you have, I have an SR and the stock wheel and tire combo weighs 60.7 pounds. The wheel weighs 28.3 the tires weighs 32.4. These are the stock 245 tires with the steel wheels.

If it helps I have the E-rated KO2s 270-75-17 on Stealth 6s and don't notice the louder noise or stiffer ride that people complain about at all. I also have a full OME lift so maybe that helps.

Ah good to know. I have a SR5, which has one, and I was curious bc I'm looking to get 265/75/16 tires but wasn't sure if I have to remove the air dam in order to make this happen.
