Years ago when I got 285/75/16 tires, I decide to have 4.10's from a 4-banger Tacoma installed into my manual V6 to compensate for the larger diameter tires. I am glad I did it, because it brought my speedometer closer to where it should be and gave me the torque I needed plus more.

The time is coming for new tires and this time around I am thinking of going with 265/75/16's. My concern is that going back down in tire size will give me too much torque.

I am kinda looking forward to what it will be like, but I am afraid my gas mileage will suffer and my engine will be screaming at 65mph+

What does everybody think? Has anybody ever ran this setup and what was it like? Will I be popping wheelies with this setup and be stuck driving in the slow lane?
