265/75R16 issues anyone?

so I was reading another thread and I see that a lot of people are using tires 265/75R16 as opposed to the stock size 265/70R16.

When I did this with my 1997 4runner I had ABS issues. ABS would kick in earlier than it should have because of the larger tire size. The computer was calculating for a slightly smaller tire.

Has anyone had issues with the slightly larger tires? Just curious cause if not, I'm getting 265/75

 

No issues at all with my BFG AT 265/75/16. Mine were put on by the dealer before I even drove it. Love the look and no rubbing at all or trimming. Oh yeah I'm using the stock off road rims. Hope this helps

 

No issues with being at stock height, or lifted.

 

Have had my Duras 265/75/16 load C for 2yrs working great no issues

My VSC over sensitivity issues started on 265/70/17 tires but that doesn't seem to be the norm

 

Mine rub on my 05 but from friends with 2012 and newer have no issues.

 

2013 - approx 25K, 265/75 BFG AT - Load Range E for approx 24K. I do rub my mudflaps every so often, most notably turning in reverse and it has gotten a bit more frequent with the ARB bumper.

Zero issues otherwise, love them. I have never tripped my truck's VSC.

 

That's the look I want. I'm just trying to decide the best way to go about getting 1.5" of lift all around without ruining ride quality. Then I'm upgrading to the bigger tires. I'm wondering if I could just go with coilovers w/ UCAs in front and an AAL in back. But again, nice looking truck.

It may be that the dealer made the adjustments to the computer after they installed the larger tires. My old F250 had the be re flashed by a technician when I went with oversized tires. They calculate the tire revolutions to reset it so speedo, shift points, etc were corrected.

 

No issues for me with 265/75's. Actually made my speedo dead on at highway speeds.

Very mild rubbing on full crank. But no other issues.

 

Never had any issues with 265/75/16 before or after lift. Never trimmed either.

 

Same here. Great size tire.

 

I have rubbing on my 2015 DC 4x with 5100 at .85. wheels have 4.5 bs
at full turn they rub on the inside corner of the rear mud flap

can this be fixed with alignment?
is this a BS issue?

 

No issues at all. 265/75/R16 Goodyear Wrangler A/T W/Kevlar

 

doubtful, mine were done at a small local tire shop and they changed nothing other than the tires.
