Never go E if you don’t need to. SL would be the way to go. Still loose MPG's but lighter

    Brand new, bone stock
We just got back from our first trip on the new, stock size, Open Range, tires towing a tent trailer and the difference was noticeable. Better power, mileage, and braking. With a 65,000 mile warranty I’ll take the chance on 4 ply. I do appreciate your input.

I have the 4cyl 5spedd. I had bfg ta kos, same as you, but 245's, and on steel wheels. I bought some p rated tires the same, 17lbs lighter each corner. Massive difference. I sold the bfg's and bought some Firestone or Bridgestone Destination xt's in 215/85 r16, same weight as the p rated tires, but are LT e rated tires with an aggressive tread. LOVE THEM!
