Bend new to this forum but I’ve read many articles/questions on here. I’ve always had half ton trucks so it’s cool that there’s such a large community of taco owners on here.
    Still not a clear answer:
    265 70 R17’s?
    or
    275 70 R17’s?
I have a stock 2018 TRD Sport with stock wheels. I want 275’s but it looks like 265’s are winning do to price and relevance in brands.
I drive a lot of city/highway but weekends I’m off on dirt shooting and hunting.
Can I fit 275’s on my stock truck?
2 or 3 inch kit if not?
Thanks for the help and input!

I’m running 265/70/17 BFG KOs (load range C) on TRD SEMA rims with a 1/2 inch spacer in the front to set it more level. I’m very happy with this setup. No loss in mileage, it looks proportional, and does not need any other suspension mods or a CMC.

    Thank you :D
I still have some de-badging and de-chroming to do. I wanted to go with a clean, lower profile look this time. I previously had a full size with more of a “look at me” vibe going on.

I run 265 65 17s with the Dueler Revo 3s from Bridgestone (see pic). It’s a super cozy tire but will be going 265 70 17s next time as I love the look and it seems like nobody is having any issues.

Good lookin’ truck! Sometimes I miss the sound and torque of my old Ram, but I don’t miss the poor mileage, parking it at work, interior noise, and how much more it tired me out on long trips due to the need for driver inputs. Before I bought the Tacoma, I was thinking about a 3/4 ton. I had the same model Tacoma as a rental while on vacation and it changed my mind. Toyota’s weren’t on my radar at all until then.
I do get a little tired of the “Why did you get a smaller truck” comments though.

I hear yea, I got my Chevy brand new in 2017 but had nothing but problems. New tranny at 120k and needed a new motor at 130k. Went for the old reliable Toyota. Couldn’t be happier, it goes everywhere. This thing has gone through dunes and all kind of mountain terrain hunting on stock tires. I’m excited to see what it’ll do with all-terrain‘s!

Not yet but I’ll running it this weekend. I’m sure it’ll rub some then, I’ll work great until I have my lift

    Good luck!

My guess, it will rub hard where the front mudflaps were.

    Let us know!

CaliRaised. They are just dark wit no bright work or logo. They are LED and though smoke color, brighter than stock.

I went with 265/70R17 KO2’s. No issues on stock suspension.

33” BFG Ko2s,16” Method NV wheels, CMC, King 2.5 Remote Reservoir, Baja Kits UCAs
285/75/16 with a “3 inch lift” is the best way to go. All other combos look a little off on these trucks. Proper tire size that fills the wheel well and has the right amount of sidewall. Balances the truck nicely visually
