I was cruising for about 15 minutes going back and forth between 40mph and 55mph. I look down, and to my amazement, I was almost at 26 mpg. It eventually reached that. I took 3 pics. The 26mpg pic is a bit blurry, but you can still make it out. The others are 25.3mpg and 25.9mpg. Now, if they'll only upload. I'm having issues doing that. Can someone help?

Atkinson cycle capability on non-hybrids is much more widespread than just Toyota. Nearly every Mazda has it, Audi's new 2.0t, and Hyundai's new 2.0t off the top of my head. It really has no drawbacks in terms of improving efficiency at part-load conditions, so I expect it'll become even more popular.

Well heck I've seen people get their 3rd Gen autos up in the 30s. That's easy. The manuals don't get as good gas mileage as easily as the autos, unless you know what you're doing. The actual mpg rating on my 3rd gen 6speed manual is 17 city and 19 highway. But I drive it to where I'll get 20-21 city and 23-24 highway. And I do the math outside of the truck's computer.

I'm not concerned when it comes to gas mileage, anyway. I prefer manual over gas mileage any day. Much more fun lol especially off-roading.

Haha I was wondering if that's what they did to get 30mpg. I was going 45-55 when I got mine. I ended up losing speed trying to take a pic though

As long as there isn't a head/cross wind and I'm cruising at a constant speed, I have no issues getting 20+MPH. Its the stop and go traffic of my daily drive or the cross/head wind that usually kills my MPG. Hell the other day we went to Rockport, about 3-1/2 hour trip, on the way up I got 14.1MPG due to cross/head wind. On the way home I got 22.XMPG with little cross/head wind.

Hell yeah. That's exactly what happens to me when going from San Antonio to Corpus. You say you went to Rockport? What part of Texas are you from?

Ugh this thread is a perfect example of why these mpg threads are so retarded and dissolve into garbage and get locked.

Op- I know you are smarter than this

Lol Tap dancing Christ on a stick lol Even when the threads stay on subject, you get fucktards like this wise guy who always gotta cry about something. Sorry if my thread is getting more attention than yours, or if we're all getting better gas mileage than you lol can't believe this Op you speak of hasn't booted your ass yet.

Yes I did. Mine was blue originally too. I just went into the settings and changed it. I'm actually about to change the start-up picture too. And change the screen-off picture. Gotta have a computer and a flash drive to do that.
