How does it feel to have to fill up twice a week in your gas guzzling 2nd gen?

26mpg going 55 is mediocre for any vehicle in 2016. I can easily get 24mpg going 55 in my first gen with 33s. Altitude, engine load, weight, winds, and slope of the road affect mpg.

If my 15 year old vehicle gets within 2mpg from a brand new vehicle with an engine designed for gas mileage (probably with smaller tires), that's pretty wack.

15 years and with all the government EPA bullshit they pull, this is how far they can go? Don't give me the "Don't expect MPG, it's a truck." Yeah it's a truck, it gets less mileage than a car, I fully understand. But this is pathetic. 15 years from now maybe we can expect a whole 20mpg through town from new trucks. Garbage.

It doesn't help that I thought it was a compliment. If I really had a problem with it I'd have it taken down. But like you said it's the Internet. No body gives a shit or should give a shit.

Yeah that's, because 1st gens are light ass trucks. Are you driving a manual or auto? If you drive around in 2016 4x4 off-road with the manual transmission, you'll see how hard it can be to get it up to 26 mpg. Which is why I posted it. What else besides info and bragging is this site used for? That previous sentence was for someone else that's obviously as bored as I am. Just so you know.

How is that? Icall bull shit. Your math has to be screwed up. Only way you can get that good of gas mileage is if your at an elevation that allows you to get that good of gas mileage. My old 4 cylinder ranger never got that good of gas mileage. Unless you drive like a grandma
