I don't see any threads under the first gen forum about 275/70-16. Has anyone tried these? I am thinking about going this size without going up to the 285 since I have a 16" wheel and this is one step below tire width but with a little more thickness.

My Dad's taco had them when he bought it. They were street tires, dont remember the brand. I remember there being a very small selection of tires available in that size. I would choose 265/75r16 first.

I think the only choice I've read about is bfg's all terrain's....I think those come in 275's

I have them (BFG KO) on DC2's(16x8). I have 5100 up front set on 1.75 and have the mud flaps on. For everyday use they do not rub anywhere. Get it stuffed at full lock and it will rub on the inside of the flap. /Users/bkcbuilder/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets/sub/0141badedf5d4d3bc1070ad5a29e951f096b38545c/IMG_3275.JPG
