Hello all, I have a question that may or may not have been asked in the past, didn't find much on it though. I have LT275/70-17 Cooper Discoverer AT3's on my truck right now. It is an 07 with a 2.5" spacer lift on the front and blocks in the rear. I have Procomp 7089 17x8 wheels with 4.5" of backspacing. The 275's fit well and only rub the front inner fender plastic at full lock in reverse. I never trimmed it either. I'm looking into getting Falken Wildpeak AT3w in P285/70-17.

The manufacturer specs listed on their respective sites indicate that the Coopers in that size are 11" wide and 32.17" tall, the Falkens in 285 at listed as 11.3" wide 32.8" tall.

My question is, do you all think that change would cause ALOT more rubbing? I'm more than willing to trim some of the inner fender plastic, but I don't want to rub the UCA or the cab mount, and am not really willing to chop the cab mount.

    Thanks in advance

I recently got some 285 75 16s on a 2.5"ish front lift and it doesn't rub while driving on the road but it does look like it will rub a little bit on the cab mount under full suspension compression. I'm not sure how much of a problem it will be but it seems like most 33s rub on the cab mount at some point. As for the UCA, I'm running the total chaos ones so I'm not sure how much clearance the stock one has.

I recently replaced the OEM bridgestone 265/65R17 tires on my 09 Tacoma TRD sport prerunner with BFG 265/70R17. Through research on the web and local Toyota mechanics, I learned that’s about a big as you can go with no mods or issues with rubbing.
