    Hello All...
This is my first post but here goes.
I have a 2023 TRD Sport. I have put on Fuel Rebel wheels with a -12 offset. They are also much wider than the stock wheels. I also went up in tire size slightly to 275 70 17 rather than the stock 265 70 17. I actually only had to do very minor plastic trimming. The issue I am having is that the tires rub the cab mount. I have read everything there is on this forum about this but here is my issue...they barely rub on just a tiny piece of the cab mount. I could cut a corner of the lip and be ok. Another option would be to add a 1/2" spacer lift but I am not so sure that would solve the clearance issue. Not to mention that my Tacoma doesn't have much of a rake, at least nowhere near what my 16 had so I definitely don't want to bump up the front more than the back. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Might have been good with no offset.

You are likely going to have to do a cab mount chop if you want to keep that setup and get rid of the rubbing. Lots of info on this on YouTube, etc. Search "3rd gen tacoma cab mount chop"... Tons of information will come up, and enjoy the rabbit hole!

Also, welcome to the forum. You said you had a 2016, why did you get rid of it, and what are your plans with the new one?

Cab mount chop will solve your problem. Where are you located? Many shops can do it.

I was hoping not to have to chop the entire cab mount. I thought about just cutting the part that rubs. I actually would be ok with chopping it but I went down that rabbit hole online and I am not sure if it is a safety concern. Some shops say add the plate some say do not. It's a tough call. I am in Northern VA by the way.

I got rid of my 16 because believe it or not the Torque Converter went out. Freak thing. It was upsetting because I put a lot of time into that truck.

Now that I have my wheels and tires almost situated I desperately need a grill. Toyota parts for some reason has different part numbers for pro grills and I can't get them to figure out which one it is so that I can order but that is a whole other thing. Had a nice day today so it was de badging and sticker removal all day lol.

You have a picture of where/how much it rubs exactly?

You don't need to relocate the cab mount... You need to take some material away. Two different things, there are zero safety concerns with doing this. You should be fine.

That is what I was hoping for. This is not my truck but I wanted to give you an idea. It rubs just that lip and not the entire way, just the one corner. I circled it.
