I was running 275/70/17 on 17x8.5 (0) for about two years. Just moved up to 285/70/17 this morning, still on stock height and same wheels.

275's made cut some of the inner fender plastic and it still rubbed once in a blue moon when hitting hard bumps off road and turning at the same time.

Note: I had to get a CMC to fit the 285's. No rubbing whatsoever now.

285's before CMC (Just trying them on) This is driver's side with steering wheel turned to left about 70%

285's after CMC (same amount of turning)

285's after CMC but with 100% left turn

That is the wheel and tire set up I want to run. Looks sharp man! Do you remember when you did not have the spacers it came out even with the fender wells? I don't want the spacers.

This was before the lift and before the spacers. I had quite a bit of rubbing on the front in both reverse and full lock. After the lift and spacers, I only had rubbing in reverse at full lock. They didn't poke out much, but a bit more, which looked nice - better than stock. Way better.

When you were running your 275’s did you ever rub the cab mount? Or, just the liner?

Just the plastics, not the actual metal cab mount. I was able to run the 275’s without it ever touching the cab mount, even off road.

I just got back in April the Falken WIldpeak AT4's in 275/70R17's with the SEMA wheels. they are a C rated tire and I dont need anything more. On my old full size silverado i had At3's and I loved them. The AT4's dont make nearly as much road noise and I think they have a longer treadwear warranty, but I'm not 100% sure on that. They look more aggressive than the SL rated tires, but are a little on the heavy side. Im running them on a Bilstein 5100 on the top notch (2") and a 1" block on the leaf springs. I've been VERY happy with them.

Did you have any rubbing problems with running the Sema wheels and a bigger tire ? Or did the lift deal with any rubbing issues .? Thanks

I did not. I only had it hit the mudflap a few times making a sharp right hand turn on to something inclined, but getting an alignment fixed that.

I could have gone 285's but I didnt want to risk it, I was surprised that I rubbed at all. Must have been due to the alignment. I have a 5100 shocks set at the highest level and a 1" block in the back and now i want to go taller an replace the springs!!

I have the same lift set up that you have. I want to run the 275-70r17 wildpeaks on my SCS ray 10s 17x8.5 -10 offset. I am worried they are gonna be rubbing while i turn, you said you would have fit a 285 . What are your wheel specs?
